James Edwin Dingess, 72, of Hartwood passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Stafford Hospital.
Mr. Dingess retired from working at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving. He was a great Christian man who loved the Lord. He will be missed by the children who knew him as "the candy man."
He was born in Beckley, W.Va., to the late Moscoe Dingess and Ruby R. Chrislip Dingess. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Norman Harold Dingess.
Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Pickles (Ron); and his nephews, Robert (Tabitha) Dingess of Hartwood, James (Heather) Dingess of Hartwood, Thomas (Miria) Dingess of Tooele, Utah, David (Elizabeth) Dingess of Front Royal and Chris Pickles of Kellogg, Iowa.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.
