Glenwood Sager, 77, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Center in Fredericksburg.
He was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Maurertown, a son of Hubert and Lena McWilliams Sager. He had retired from the U.S. Government Printing Office after 29 years. He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Anne Pence, Ray Sager and Ralph Sager.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carol G. Sager; beloved children Tim Sager and Dawn Miller; grandchildren Zachary and Madeline; and siblings Ruth Funkhouser, Bill Sager and Helen Reynolds.
A funeral for Mr. Sager will be conducted at noon Saturday, Dec. 1, at Strasburg United Methodist Church in Strasburg, with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Frank Miller, Michael Keeler, Bill Sager, David Sager, Jeff Sager, Gary Pence, Jack Yates and Rick Keeler.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Sager to the American Heart Association, 8735 Plantation Lane, Manassas, Va. 20110.
