Pizza delivery driver robbed in North Stafford
Date published: 11/30/2012
Stafford County investigators are seeking two people in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in North Stafford.
Sheriff's spokesman Bill Kennedy said a driver for Domino's Pizza at 556 Garrisonville Road went to the 300 block of Goose Pond Road in Sky Terrace subdivision about 11:10 p.m. Wednesday to make a delivery. When she got there, she saw a male sitting on the steps of the residence.
When asked if he had ordered the pizza, the male said nothing but held up money. The driver then got out of the vehicle and walked toward the house, Kennedy said.
Moments later, she heard a male voice behind her say, "Give me all your money." She told investigators that she turned around and saw a person wearing a mask and displaying a small handgun.
She said she handed the robber a small amount of cash that apparently wasn't satisfactory. She later handed over a change purse before seeing both robbers running away with the money and the food.
The driver returned to the business, where she was interviewed a short time later by Deputy Joseph Floirendo.
The male on the steps was described as heavyset and black, 17 to 25, 5 feet 4 inches tall with short black hair. The masked gunman was between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8 with a medium build. Both were wearing dark clothing.
Witnesses saw two people with similar descriptions walking in the 600 block of Goose Pond Road about 30 minutes before the robbery, Kennedy said. They gave a description similar to that given by the driver for one of them, and said the second was also a black male who appeared to be between 17 and 25.
