Idell "Jack" Banks, 81, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.
Jack was born in Amelia County on June 19, 1931, to Charles Banks and Alberta Perkins-Banks He joined Liberty Baptist Church at an early age. He was retired from the military.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Earlene Banks; son James Mickens (Carrie); daughter Shirley Strother; son Jerry Banks; and son Wallace Banks (Terri), all of Fredericksburg.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home, with Nedra Banks officiating.
