Here are some odds and ends from the world of Fredericksburg-area business of late:
Complete Nutrition, a fast-growing national chain focused on health and nutrition, will open its store Saturday at 1261 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg's Central Park shopping center. Morgan Rasmussen and Tyler Altenhofen own the local franchise.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Haven apartment complex near the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. The 260-unit complex is about halfway leased thus far.
Virgil Nelson of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has been hired to find a long-term retail tenant for the building at 922 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. The current tenant, Upstairs Downstairs Antiques, is on a short-term lease but will remain open while Nelson looks for another tenant. James K. Newton III of Richmond owns the two-story, 5,500-square-foot building.
Peoples Community Bank has announced three promotions: Zirkle Blakey III to executive vice president and CFO, Constance L. Hassell to senior vice president of loan administration and compliance, and Randy L. Phelps to vice president of retail banking and human resources.
Lindsay Coker Dickinson's Therapy Toolbox company is having a free screening event at its office in Fredericksburg's Mill Race North complex Dec. 19 for any family in the Fredericksburg area that has a concern about their child's speech and language development. Screenings are by appointment only.
