I read with dismay the blame game that is happening with the U.S. budget. The Dems blame the Republicans, and vice versa. The president exacerbates the situation because he has his agenda.
Well, I don't care who is right or who is wrong. I and the people I know work and have things because we pay our bills. This "fiscal cliff" that is the rage of newspapers and TV news may put us out of work because of cuts to programs or the smack to an economy that is still recovering. That result will just add to the misery and mess.
Congress and the White House are useless. Each side wants to make its power move and gain the upper hand instead of looking out for all Americans. I've written several letters to Virginia's senators and the replies I have received are useless. Our representative says he is trying but, again, nothing is happening. Oh, of course we will be blessed with another useless senator in January.
If it ever comes about that we, the people, get to vote for "term limits" for these people, I'm in.
