Peggy R. Fitzgerald, 81, of King George County died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was born in Lent, Caroline County. She was formerly employed as a secretary at NSWC and then as a financial secretary for the King George County school system. She was also a longtime member of Oakland Baptist Church and loved flower gardening and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett W. Fitzgerald of the home; two daughters, Janet Fitzgerald Burckell and husband Thomas and Donna Fitzgerald and husband Ted Belloli, all of King George; one brother, Lewis Rollins and wife June of Rappahannock Academy; four grandchildren, Thomas Emmett Burckell and wife Mindy, Bridget Burckell Ray and husband Brandon, Joshua Armentrout and Dane Armentrout and wife Samantha; and one great-grandchild, Ryland Armentrout.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Oakland Baptist Church in King George. Burial will follow in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
