Is 'spiritual darkness' ruling our nation?

Is there a state of spiritually called spiritual darkness? The Bible says we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

In the mid-1940s, the communist government of Romania called more than 4,000 priests, pastors, and ministers from all denominations to assemble for the "Congress of the Cults." The delegates elected Joseph Stalin as honorary president to the congress. Each went to the podium proclaiming that Christianity and communism were fundamentally the same. Stalin told the people what they wanted to hear--promises and hope. History has a different story. More than 20 million people were killed under Stalin. Evil was elected because of spiritual darkness.

America was built on Judeo-Christian values and laws, but we have turned away from truth and what made this nation great. The first book taught in our schools was the Holy Bible. The Bible is now outlawed in our schools. Prayer was encouraged in schools but is no longer legal. The Ten Commandments, once seen in our schools, government, and state buildings, are all but gone, also illegal. The name of Jesus Christ, once honored in this nation, is now mocked, ridiculed, and cursed.

It's because we are a Christian nation that all other religions are allowed to peacefully practice their faiths. Have we become a spiritually blind nation? Today, priests and pastors allow homosexuals to preach in the pulpits. Many religious leaders believe in abortion. It's time to turn to God that He may forgive our sins and heal our land. Is it too late? Only God knows.

Christians, examine yourselves to see if you are truly in the faith, and not spiritually blind.
