In Colonial Beach, the first Saturday in December becomes the beginning of the Christmas season and the wonderful event on the Town Hill--"Santa's Wonderland"--featuring cute scenes, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a parade, a Nativity, and the lighting of the Christmas tree. A talented group of dedicated townspeople give long hours and hard work setting up the decorations. Thanks go to all of them, and to the Chamber of Commerce for the evening boat parade and their help.

Colonial Beach becomes a beautiful "lighted" town. A lot of the homes are outstanding. The Historical Society Museum had a delightful Home Christmas Tour on Dec. 8. It was well-attended and enjoyed by all those who rode along with us.

Of course the tour could not be this great without the generosity of those who opened their hearts and homes and museum to us.
