Return to story
I was observing the re-enactment of the Battle of Fredericksburg with my wife and friends when I lost my own fight to a flu-like virus and passed out.
Imagine my surprise when I came to and "Richard Kirkland" had come to my aid in the form of two emergency room nurses and two doctors from Mary Washington Hospital, along with others.
They just happened to be at the re-enactment and ran to my side. I unfortunately did not get any of their names but wish to thank them publicly for their very kind and professional attention. With people like you around, this world is a much better place.
The only complaint I had was that the ride to the hospital in a horse-drawn wagon was a little too realistic!
