William "Bill" Taylor, 68, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Washington, N.C., and was preceded in death by his parents, Hallis and Elizabeth Taylor; and a great-niece, Meagan McCain.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Katy Taylor; son and daughter-in-law Ken and Meredith Taylor; daughter and son-in-law Christina and Cale Pritchett; grandson Wyatt Taylor; and granddaughter Peyton Pritchett. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Don Johnson; two nephews, David Johnson (Jennifer) and Danny Johnson (Michele); a niece, Donna McCain (Mark); and three great-nieces.
Bill retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He settled in Woodbridge, where he worked for TRW/Northrop Grumman before retiring in 2006 after 24 years. He was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church and devoted to his family and friends.
Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, Va. 22913. A life celebration service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 13506 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge, Va. 22192. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
