Doris was born in 1937 in Washington, D.C., and was the loving daughter of Ruth Parker. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Charles W. “Bill” Gotthardt; and her sister, Mildred “Millie” Albrecht of Reedsville.
Also left behind is a loving family that includes her children, Craig and wife Vanessa, Cheryl and husband Tim, Anna, and David and wife Katherine. Doris was also blessed to have seven grandchildren, Grace, Seth, Troy, Erika, Alex, Gabriel and Makayla; and great-granddaughter Giuliana.
The family will have a memorial service at Colonial Beach United Methodist Church (CBUMC), 1 Washington Ave., Colonial Beach, 22443, at 1 p.m. Jan. 26.
Memorial contributions to the CBUMC may be made in lieu of flowers.
