Larry Max Meadows, 85, of Spotsylvania County died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Meadows loved metal-detecting and working in his garden. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music and ginseng hunting. He worked for 38 years at P.C. Goodloe and Son.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Meadows; his children, Marie Teter of Orange County, Peggy Hinerdeer of Ephrata, Pa., Florence Murphy of Fredericksburg and Larry Meadows, Glen Meadows, Fay Meadows, Janice Chappell and Mark Meadows, all of Spotsylvania; his brothers, Sydney Meadows of Richmond and John Meadows of Madison County; his sisters, Lula Gilliman of Washington, Veda Aylor of Spotsylvania, Jane Aylor of Madison and Frances Perry of Spotsylvania; 14 grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
