Paul Brooks Jr., 75, of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday Jan. 17, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Brooks; four children, Lynn Bilbrey, Diane Gish, Randy Brooks and Angela Covey; seven grandchildren, Michael Turner, Melissa Thomas, Nikki Bilbrey, Joseph Gish Jr., Jason Gish, Jeannie Losh and Cody Brooks; six great-grandchildren, Michael Turner Jr., Kailah Turner, Chase Thomas, Bryn Thomas, Ashley Johnson and Devin Johnson.
Paul was born on April 27, 1937, in Mingo County, W.Va. He was a longtime resident of Woodbridge. He was a co-founder of Allied Industrial Machine Services in Falls Church, from 1975 until 1979. In 1979, he founded NORPA Machine Shop in Woodbridge with his wife.
Paul enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid golfer. He was a cunning opponent in any game, especially poker. He had a sly sense of humor and was able to convincingly spin the tallest of tales. He will be greatly missed by all who knew this special man, especially by his close friends and family.
Visitation will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home in Dale City, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 p.m.
