Darlene S. Hudson, 57, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

Mrs. Hudson had retired from NSWC Dahlgren. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Barry Hudson; daughters Stephanie Lee Jones and Sarah Darlene Meadows; mother Madge Shrieves; brothers James Thomas Shrieves Jr. and Danny Purnell Shrieves; and three stepgrandchildren, Jed Isaiah, Malachi Thomas and Caleb Harvey Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in White Oak Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 2012 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
