Mary Jewell Greene, 72, of Locust Grove went home to be with the Father on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her residence.
Mary was born April 13, 1940, to the late Marvin and Laura Stallard in Pound. She was a member of Wilderness Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, James M. Greene; children Deborah Carver and husband Gary of Rixeyville and Rick Jenkins and wife Barbra of Fredericksburg; brother Lee Stallard of Heathsville; sisters Martha Mahieu of Heathsville and Shirley Wood of Orange; and grandchildren Scotty Carver of Manassas, Aaron Carver of Unionville, Kaitlin Carver of Rixeyville and Kylie Jenkins of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by brother Russell Stallard; and stepson James Greene Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Monday, March 25, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
