James H. Cole

James Henry Cole, 28, of Spotsylvania County died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in an automobile accident in King George County.

James was born in Spotsylvania on Sept. 30, 1984, to Roger and Virginia M. Cole. He was a graduate of Spotsylvania High School and Lincoln Technical Institute of Maryland. He worked as a crane operator for Gerdau Ameristeel in King George.

James was a dedicated and loving father who loved fishing, music, working on cars and spending time with family and friends. He was also a huge football fan of the Oakland Raiders.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Jalyla S. Cole of Caroline; one son, Jihmeer D. Cole of Caroline; one brother, Oliver O. Cole of Spotsylvania; maternal grandmother Mildred Fauntleroy of Fredericksburg; five uncles; two aunts; three nephews; one niece; a host of special cousins, great-aunts, other relatives and close friends; and his devoted girlfriend and mother of his children, Renee M. Howard of Caroline County.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Alexander E. Cole; his grandfathers; two uncles; two aunts; and his paternal grandmother, Mary E. Cole of Spotsylvania.

The funeral and burial will take place Thursday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Beaverdam. It will be followed by a small reception. The address for the church is 2133 Mount Olive Road, Beaverdam, VA 23015.
