Arnold Vaughn

Arnold "Buck" Vaughan, 64, of Bowling Green, died peacefully at home on Aug. 26, 2013.

He was born in Lewisburg, W.Va., to the late Cecil and Mary Susan Vaughan on Jan. 12, 1949. He married Sarah Schowen in 1970, and they lived in Stafford until relocating to Bowling Green in 2007 to follow their grandchildren.

Buck retired as supervisor of facilities maintenance in 2003. He was able to spend his retirement enjoying fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Buck is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah; his daughter, Lisa Vaughan and Gwen; his son and his wife, Todd and Toni Vaughan; their two children, Jamie and Hunter Vaughan; sister Margie Scott and her husband, Joe Scott; sister Rita Vaughan; niece Debbie Martin; nephew Brian Hanson; and great-niece Chaylee Martin. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Patrick Vaughan.

Visitation will be held at Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. Those attending are invited to the family's home following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Buck Vaughan Memorial Fund at Box 418, Bowling Green, VA, 22427, or directly at Union First Market Bank. The Memorial Fund is designated for the Bowling Green Elementary gymnasium.
