Libby Vinso

Libby Vale Hamrick Vinso, 47, of Stafford County passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Libby was a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter, and an inspiration to all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Curtis Hamrick.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; children Elsa, Nicole and Matthew; her mother, Judith; father- and mother-in-law Joseph and Helga; her brothers, Conrad, Chris and Todd and her sister, Leslee, and their families; and a galaxy of nephews, nieces and cousins in West Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa and Norway.

She was an active member of Aquia Episcopal Church, where her greatest joy was teaching God's word to pre-schoolers and teenagers alike. She was known to brighten any oncologist's office she walked into. She enjoyed her children's activities, her Mountaineers, the river and her animals.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Aquia Episcopal Church, 2938 Jefferson Davis Highway, Stafford, VA 22554, for the new Christian Education Building.

A celebration of Libby's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Aquia Episcopal Church. She requested that those who attend wear bright colors.
