Jordan J. Mettee

Jordan Jasper Mettee, 27, of Bellevue, Wash., formerly of Spotsylvania County, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013.

Jordan was a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend and dog owner. He was born April 12, 1986, in Leesburg.

Jordan had realized his professional dream of working for Inspur on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Wash. He was self-taught in five computer languages and used his love of technology to teach and mentor his brothers, friends and mother. Jordan was passionate about his country's history and heritage. He found a spiritual relationship with God while on a habitat mission trip to Mexico.

Jordan was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends in California, where a memorial service was held in Silicon Valley on Sept. 8, and his co-workers and friends in Washington, who gathered on Sept. 13, in his honor.

A memorial service celebrating Jordan's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at Zion United Methodist Church, 8700 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania.

Jordan is survived by his mother, Karen Robison; brothers Jeremy Mettee and Jake and Josh Robison of Spotsylvania; and his godmother, Barbara Kline of Culver City, Calif.
