Scott Thomas

Charles Scott Thomas, 58, of Stafford County died of natural causes Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at home.

Mr. Thomas served in the U.S. Army for nine years and worked as a civil service employee at the Department of Defense for the last 30 years. The majority of his civil service was with the Night Vision Lab at Fort Belvoir.

He is survived by two daughters, Megan Thomas and Stacey Thomas, and their mother, Lynn Thomas; two grandchildren, Natalie and Anthony Thomas; his father, Charles H. Thomas, and sister C. Sue Schlechty, both of Greenville, Ohio; brother Patrick H. Thomas of Kenton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery.
