Who fixes Fido?1st Place: Ferry Farm Animal Clinic2nd Place: Confederate Ridge Animal Hospital 3rd Place: Chancellor Veterinary Clinic
By Erin McCalla If Shadow's lost his spunk, and Pinky's gums are pale, or if your long-lost yellow yarn is dangling from Daffy's jaws, with four feet already swallowed, it's time to call the vet. But which clinic is good enough to care for your cuddly kitty or devoted doggy? The Ferry Farm Animal Clinic was voted best, and owner Dr. Larry Witter came highly recommended. Of course, we checked the place out for ourselves and were impressed with its cleanliness, its friendly staff, and the array of displayed pet photos, some quite funny...who knew dogs were so tolerant of hats? The fifth veterinarian in his family, Witter has been on the job for 29 years. He came to Fredericksburg in 1976 and started up Ferry Farm 10 years later.
