A Spotsylvania County man has been charged with crashing his car into the brick wall of the Fredericksburg City Cemetery early today and leaving the scene.
The cemetery, in the 1000 block of Washington Avenue, was struck about 2 a.m., and it was discovered by an officer patrolling in the area.
The officer found that the car had just been involved in a confrontation in the 1100 block of Caroline Street, during which the driver backed into a vehicle driven by his ex-wife.
Scott Dwyer, 26, turned himself in today. He is charged with aggressive driving and two counts of hit and run.
