Fredericksburg Police Officer J.B. Walker offers details on the accident that closed William Street in both directions for about an hour this morning near the intersection with College Avenue. Former City Council member Joe Wilson, who was driving the vehicle that was damaged, sustained injuries but was awake when he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police did not identify him. The driver of the truck that lost the trailer, William Tibbs, 24, of Ladysmith was not injured.
