The cost of admission and dinner with drinks will be $20 per plate. The event will be catered by Red, Hot & Blue Restaurant of Fredericksburg. The menu will be pulled pork and barbecue chicken with BBQ beans, potato salad and cole slaw. Drinks will include a variety of beer and wine, soft drinks, water and coffee. Deserts will include cakes, pies and cookies.
The treasurer for this event is Gordon Thomas. Checks for attendance should be made out to G. F. Thomas with "HERO" noted on the check and the attendee names identified. Send checks to:

There's dining space for no more than 144 people. Please advise Thomas of your intention to attend by Nov. 1. Please ensure that your checks reach him by Nov. 11 so the food order can be finalized. He will send receipts and/or confirmation by mail only upon specific request. Periodic email reports will be sent on the Alumni attendance plans and the funding status.
Dress will be casual.
Upon arrival, you will be checked in and receive a sticky name tag to write your name on.
Master of ceremonies will be Ron Wehman. The program plan is as follows:
4 PM - Arrive, have drinks and socialize
5 PM - Buffet Dinner (possibly self-serve)
6 PM - Review the highlights of HERO Division accomplishments
- Recognize the Charter Members (and those present: Pruett, Fadeley, Hudson, Short, others)
- Remember Old Times (multiple stories, Invite spontaneous recounts)
- Photo Boards (HERO memorabilia)
- Old Log Books, hardware, etc. on display
7:30 - Group Photo of Alumni
- Social Time to talk to old friends
8:30 - Adjourn
There will be at least one door prize: Ron Wehman has donated two tickets to the RIVERSIDE CENTER DINNER THEATER valued at about $110.
