A group of Dahlgren engineers pose with the CG-47, USS Ticonderoga, first ship in the new AEGIS class of guided missile cruisers in 1982, while it was still under construction in the shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss. The Dahlgren team was responsible for integration and test of the early AEGIS computer programs with the shipboard equipment.
