City Fas Mart robbed

October 19, 2009 12:00 am

A man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash Saturday after robbing a Fredericksburg convenience store clerk with a note, police said.

City police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said the man entered the Fas Mart at 501 Jefferson Davis about 1 p.m. and handed the clerk a note written on a lottery card demanding money.

The clerk complied, and the suspect got the money and the note and left the store.

He left in a white, four-door Chevrolet; a black woman was in the passenger’s seat.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 175 pounds.

He was wearing a blue hoodie, gray sweat pants and a black knit stocking cap, and he had a light patch of skin on his left cheek.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call city police at 373-3122.
