CO: Will you check with your deputy’s on scene and see if they removed the victim from the house for us. They’re doing a primary search with negative results.

D: Dispatch to Command. We still have one female on 911 advising she’s still upstairs. She’s located upstairs in the bedroom that’s to the left. Her name is Sandy.

F: I’ve got to change my bottle out. I did a search with one of my crewmembers upstairs. I need the EMS to the front door.

CO: Okay, have 61 report directly to the front of the structure. We’ve got another victim coming out. We’re going to need them right away please.

CO: Medic 10-1 come right up to the front of the structure.
F: Direct. Dispatch we’re on the scene.

F: They ain’t going to be able to make over that supply line. They’ll probably stop right at the supply line 10-1.
CO: Command to 5, correction, EMS 51.

F: Go ahead.
CO: We are now getting a report of possibly, possibly a fourth victim. Possibly four people total were in the house. We’ve got three out. If you need a fresh crew, I can send you a fresh crew to do additional searches.
F: Okay. We’ve still got the one on the second floor.
CO: Okay, I’m sorry, that was going to be my third, so possibly a fourth in there.
F: I need a police officer to command.
CO: Engine 6 officer.
F: Yes sir, I have cleared three, checked the basement, it’s all clear, power’s secure. You have another assignment for us?
CO: Negative. At this time, report out front and standby.
CO: Command to Division 1.

CO: Do you have any need for additional…I got three personnel from 6 going to be coming and waiting out front.
F: INAUDIBLE…on the first floor.

F: Wagon 1 to Command. Wagon 6 has just exited the structure. Do you want Wagon 1 to search the first floor?

F: Tanker 1 to Command.

F: Power company has the power secured at the meter box. Tanker 1 to be cleared of that assignment.
CO: Direct, thank you.

F: I believe we’re going to come out the front door. She’s not breathing, responsive or anything, so have EMS, somebody, fireman, somebody, get her set up on the oxygen and all that good stuff.
CO: Direct.
F: We need to go over this head count. How many people are supposed to be in this house? I know it’s two that we’ve pulled out.
CO: Understood. I’ve got providers coming to the front door with oxygen. Your person you’re bringing out right now will be number three, possibly a fourth. You copy?
F: Okay. We’ve tossed the top floor. We’re going down now to the main floor.
CO: Understood. You do have Wagon 1 just went in to do a search of the first floor. They should be inside as well.
F: Okay.
F: Patient’s out of the house.
CO: Copy. Third victim out of the house.

CO: Go ahead and start me another ALS unit please.

CO: Command to Chief 51. Just so you know, I’ve got __ (s/l Cat Main?) is going to take safety.
F: Okay. 1’s on the first floor, main floor. They’re going to toss it. Second floor is negative on any victims at this time.
F: Chief 1A to Command.
CO: Chief 1A.
F: I just talked to the victim. The first one is being transported. When she went to bed she advised four people in the house. Four total.
CO: Copy. Chief 51, you Direct.
F: Direct.
F: Engine 10, x-ray to Command.
CO: Engine 10 x-ray.
F: All three members in the crew cleared the structure.
CO: Understood, copy.
F: 61 to Command, we’re approaching the scene, where do you want us?
CO: 61 when you approach, park your unit to the left so 10-1 can get out. You’ve got a patient just brought out of the structure that is not breathing. They’ll be located at the front of the structure, but do not block 10-1 in, or correction, 10-2 in.
F: Direct.
F: Chief 5 to Command.
CO: Go ahead Chief.
F: The EMS unit that’s on the other side of the hose, if you think they’ve got a patient on there, I believe I can get them out of there. I’ll let you know here in just a second without having to go over that supply line.
CO: Okay Chief, they’ve got the unresponsive patient, so yeah, if we can get them out, we need to expedite that.
F: Yeah, we can come out there, you just need to back up here. What unit is that?
CO: It’s going to be 51.
F: Safety to Command.
CO: Go ahead Safety. Yes sir, Company 7’s crews exited the building and they’re coming around to rehab.
CO: Confirming 7’s crew or 10’s crew.
F: 7’s crew.
CO: Okay. They were RIT, do I need to replace them?
F: They were inside the house searching. I met them at the back of the house, valve alert’s going off.
CO: Understood. I’m sending Tanker 1 to take over RIT.
D: Dispatch to Command.
CO: Go ahead.
D: Closest ALS is coming from 2 Trauma 238, asked the City for help. The only ALS they have is on a fire truck and they can only meet us at the county line. They won’t come this far in.
CO: I understand. I’m direct. We’ve been able to make a __ (s/l ??) for 51. They’re going to be transporting the unresponsive to the hospital. 10’s unit is going to end up being a basic. I’ve got 61 on the single __ (s/l ??). Keep that trauma unit coming until we can verify on this fourth victim.
D: Direct. Okay, to place, the city and service?
CO: At this time, that’s affirmative.
D: Direct, 0131.
F: Wagon 1 to Command. We’ve done a full secondary search of the basement. The basement is clear.
CO: Direct. Copy. Secondary search of the basement is clear.
F: 51 to Command.
CO: Go ahead 51.
F: Is 10 advising they have another ALS patient?
CO: Standby. Command to the EMS unit from 10.
F: 51 to Command.

F: Alright, I’m at the house. I’m going to come over and talk to you.

F: Alright, be advised Chief and Command, Wagon 6’s operator was the other ALS unit on this, on 51. I now have 10-1’s medic. 10-1 is going to have a basic transport. They’ll just need an EMT and we’re going to transporting to emergency now.

CO: I was going to get you to check with 10’s unit, but I’ve got my answer, thank you.

F: Alright, I’ve got crews checking the basement again. First and second floor with the fresh crew that you gave me. I stepped out on Side B for a few minutes.

CO: I just want to clarify we do have the fire under control. Is that out?
F: Yes, the fire’s out. It was out before we got the second victim out, I’m sorry. Also, the basement’s been checked again. I’ve got a crew going back upstairs to check the third floor, I’m sorry, second floor again.
CO: I’m Direct.
F: Wagon 1 to Command. We’re on the second floor checking now.
CO: Copy. Wagon 1 to second floor.

F: Command, the fourth victim has been located, not on site. Law enforcement said they’ve confirmed her location and it’s not at this location here.
CO: Command copies. Command to all units on the fire ground. Fourth victim has been located not on site. Dispatch, you copy?

F: Yeah, I haven’t even … my crew put the fire out. I haven’t even checked …

F: Okay, I’m going to do a walkthrough of the house real quick. See how much we have to overhaul.
CO: Understood. I’m going to go ahead and release the Tanker if they can get out.
F: If you got a crew out there, have them come in and I need the __ (s/l detect) lights throughout the entire house.
CO: Command to Wagon 7’s crew.

F: I’m on location. I’m going to go through the parking lot and see if I can get closer to the scene.
CO: Understood. You’re probably going to have to go up on the sidewalk at the front of the school. Chief 5 will be coming around to lead you through.
F: On Direct. I’m going to be dropping off some drinks, cold drinks and snacks, and I’ll go get some hot beverages.
CO: Understood.
F: Division 1 to Command. Myself and my crew is clear of the structure and everybody’s clear of the structure, all the __ (s/l ??).
CO: Understood. All units are clear of the structure. Command to Wagon 1’s officer.
F: Wagon 1.
CO: Besides your personnel, do you have any other equipment off your piece?
F: Negative.
CO: Okay, you go ahead and pick up, get all your personnel. I’d like you to assist Wagon 6 in getting their hose back on and get them back in service and then you can return to service and I appreciate your help.
F: Alright, on Direct. We also have one ladder off, I was just told.
CO: Understood. You’ve got one ladder off. If we can replace that with a ladder off of 7, we can do that for you.
F: Alright, I’m going to do the check and I’ll call you back.

CO: At this time, all units are clear of the structure. We’re going to be rehabbing and I’m going to be releasing Wagon 1 and Wagon 6 once they get everything picked up. We’ll be awaiting the FM. You got an ETA?
D: Direct. FM did not advise ETA. He said he’d be marking up shortly.
CO: Understood. Thank you.
CO: Command to all unit officers. There is some refreshments over here by the command post so if your personnel need any.

D: For EMS you just have 7. You also have Rescue 13, Trauma 23, Rescue 44 and 9. As far as Engine Cos., I have 4, in the area is Company 1, you got 8.
CO: Understood. Okay, when 1 clears here they’re going to go fill Company 5 for me so if you get anything on Route 3, let us know, and I can get them out of here. 6 will be clearing up as soon as they get their hose line picked up. And go ahead and move 7’s EMS unit central, please.

CO: Also Dispatch, until we get 6 and 1 cleared, if you get anything on 6’s end, you can put Station 2 in the __ (s/l ??).
