Posted by Dana1 in Reader Comments Government has grown too big in the "fat" and prosperous years" of 2003-2005. We needed extra positions then - we don't now. We need to go back to appropriate staffing levels. Sorry. Another thing - we have too many Deputy County Administrators. We need to return to pre-2003 levels. Growing the number of positions when money was coming in was appropriate. Keeping them all now when money has been reduced to a trickle is irresponsible. We are not a social service. Tough words, but true."
