State Fair Held Most
Anticipation for Web Voters

The first year of the Virginia State Fair at the Meadow Event Park held the most anticipation for Caroline County fall fairs and festivals, according to a recent Caroline County government web poll.

According to the 118 respondents to the poll between October 14 and October 26, 49 percent voted the State Fair as the “Fall Festival in Caroline County they looked forward to the most” in 2009. The Bowling Green Harvest Festival received 29 percent of the votes and the upcoming Frog Level Festival gathered 16 percent.

Last weekend’s Celtic Festival, also in its first year at the Meadow Event Park, received just six percent of the vote.

Visitors to the Caroline County government website, www.visitcaroline.com, are invited to participate in web polls regardless of whether they are Caroline County residents or not. Only one vote per visitor is permitted.
