Sheriff's report

On November 8, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood encountered a subject in Carmel Church.  After investigating, Imed Camha, 45, of Ruther Glen was charged with being drunk in public and possession of cocaine.  He was ordered held under a $2500 bond and a court date of December 9, 2009 was set.   

On November 9, 2009, Deputy R. J. Anderson responded to a call at Caroline High School involving a disturbance on a school bus.  After investigating, a female juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana.  A juvenile petition was obtained and she was released to a parent. 

On November 10, 2009, Deputy R. J. Anderson responded to a fight call at Caroline High School.  After investigating, a male juvenile was charged with assault.  A juvenile petition was obtained and he was released to a parent.  

On November 12, 2009, Deputy M. J. O’Connor was dispatched to a single vehicle crash in Port Royal.  After investigating, Carl Joseph Thomas, 45, of Waldorf, MD was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a breath test.  He was ordered held on a $1500 secure bond with an arraignment date of November 13, 2009. 

On November 14, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle in Dawn for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Winston L. Thornton, Jr., 23, of Mechanicsville was charged with driving under the influence – 2nd offense and driving on a revoked license.  He was ordered held under a $1000 bond and a court date of November 17, 2009 was set. 

On November 14, 2009, Deputy C. B. Pavie responded to a motor vehicle crash in Beaverdam.  After investigating, Kerri D. Sprouse, 23, of Beaverdam was charged with driving under the influence.  She was ordered held under a $1500 bond and a court date of November 18, 2009 was set. 

On November 14, 2009, Deputy D. W. Mundie stopped a vehicle in Woodford for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Rhonda M. Wimmer, 39, of Ruther Glen was charged with driving under the influence.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of November 20, 2009 was set.

Caroline County Sheriff's Office Wrap Up

 

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 7 drug arrests, 4 DUI arrests, 6 domestic violence arrests, 71 other criminal arrests and issued 13 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 166 civil papers, issued 79 traffic summonses, handled 17 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 26 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 437 calls for service and handled 1,860 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 27 calls assisting outside agencies and had 177 self-initiated calls.

 

From recent Fredericksburg police reports:

Scotty McLaughlin, 47, of Ruther Glen was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charginghim with shoplifting.

SHOPLIFTING:
Wegmans, 2281 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 11/11 11:15 am. A loss prevention employee detained a female subject after the subject left the store without paying for the merchandise in her cart.


Linda Mitchell, 54, of Ruther Glen was arrested for shoplifting and released by the officer on asummons.
