Your students will get much more out of newspaper lessons in the classroom and newspaper reading in general if you take time to teach ABOUT the newspaper BEFORE you begin teaching WITH the newspaper.

Use these lessons as guidelines to introduce your students (grades four and above) to newspaper reading. Lessons are designed to be used as group activities.
