Virginia Outdoor Center
Canoes, kayaks and tubes are available for rental, along with shuttle service to various points along the Rappahannock River. The Outdoor Center also offers guided fishing trips, scouting programs, a ropes course and climbing instruction.

Rapidan River
Runs from Blue Ridge Mountains and feeds into the Rappahannock. Public access for canoe launching at Eley’s Ford, off Elys Ford Road in Spotsylvania; and Germanna Ford, off Route 3. Smallmouth bass, bluegill and red-ear.

Rappahannock River
Runs from Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chesapeake Bay. Public access (with boat landings) in the Fredericksburg area includes Motts Landing, Fall Hill Avenue to River Road, approximately one mile on the right; and City Dock in Fredericksburg.
