Pohanka Nissan/Hyundai has hit a home run with its new founding partnership with Fredericksburg Baseball for the team’s inaugural season in 2020.
A video has been created that shows owner Tim Pohanka swatting a pitch from his dealership in the Four Mile Fork area of Spotsylvania County all the way to what will be the “Pohanka Home Run Porch” in the stadium that will be built in Celebrate Virginia South. The video will be available soon at fredericksburgbaseball.com.
The partnership will provide corporate branding for Pohanka Nissan/Hyundai in the ballpark. Most prominent will be the “Pohanka Home Run Porch,” which will be located on the left-field concourse. The Porch will provide both tabletop seating for fans and display space for featured Nissan and Hyundai vehicles.
A “Hit the Porch” contest is being planning that will give fans a chance to win promotions when a Fredericksburg player launches a home run that lands on the Porch. Pohanka Nissan/Hyundai also will hold special sales events at the ballpark throughout the year.
“We are thrilled to be working with Tim Pohanka and his team to bring creative ideas and excitement to the ballpark, including the iconic ‘Pohanka Home Run Porch,’” Fredericksburg Baseball Team President Lani Weiss said in a news release.
Tim Pohanka shared his enthusiasm for the partnership as well.
“The Silber family and their team have already demonstrated to the Fredericksburg region their commitment to bring baseball to the region, and to provide a great entertainment venue and value for all of us to enjoy,” he said in the release.
