Legacy Engineering, a civil engineering firm specializing in land development design and consulting, merged with Miles and Company, a surveying and land planning firm, on Jan. 1. Both companies are based in Fredericksburg.
Legacy, owned by Sara Fila and Bruce Reese, is a civil engineering company in the Fredericksburg area. The firm offers planning, land development and inspection services for both residential and commercial projects. Miles and Company, owned by Russ Miles, is a professional land planning and land surveying company that serves the Northern, Central, Southern and Tidewater areas of Virginia.
“We are excited to combine Legacy’s strong track record in engineering with Miles and Company’s proven surveying talents,” Fila said. “We have a lot of experience already working with Russ and his team, and we’re confident this merger will allow us to offer a wide range of top-notch services for our clients.”
Miles will become vice president of surveys for the company, which will retain the Legacy Engineering name.
