Capital Ale House’s Annual Oktoberfest is being brought back to historic downtown streets in Fredericksburg on September 28th. This year we are returning with more beer, brats, music and lederhosen!
The block party will begin at 11:30 am in downtown Fredericksburg on Caroline Street. Get your fill of Oktoberfest brews from local craft, as well as imported German beers served in a signature Capital Ale House stein.
The festival is $3 at the gate, benefiting the Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative. Each guest of legal drinking age can purchase a traditional 1.0 liter Capital Ale House stein for $4. Bring the fun together for family and friends with our VIP seating which includes a server and private table in view of the stage with one sharable appetizer, German cuisine provided by our friends at The Bavarian Chef, beer, and a commemorative Capital Ale House Oktoberfest t-shirt! These tickets can be purchased on our website at CapitalAleHouse.com
Live, high energy polka music will be performed by the Low N Brows, Johnny Koenig and Fritz Polka Band, with entertainment from The Hirschjäger Dancers!
Our event is family friendly, and we encourage you to bring the kids! We will have a large Kinderplatz area for the children located at the Fredericksburg Area Museum, with balloon animals, inflatable bounce houses, face painting and more!
Celebrate Oktoberfest right with delicious German cuisine including giant Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, knackwurst, sauerbraten and Jaegerschnitzel. Traditional sides of German potato salad, red cabbage, spätzle and sauerkraut paired with the largest selection of Virginia craft and import German style beers. Every Capital Ale House location will be serving these dinner specials in the weeks prior to the festivities as well!
