Bring the Family and spend Saturday morning reliving history at the Rappahannock Railroad Museum. Located in Spotsylvania Business Park across from the Fairgrounds and near Shannon Airport. See the tools and equipment used to build and maintain the railroads. Sit in the coupla seats of the restored cabooses. Weather permitting experience the life of a track worker and step aboard a restored maintenance of way train from the 1930s and 40s for an open air excursion out of the business park and along Deep Run on the railroad spur. Museum is open every Saturday morning from 9 AM to noon and train rides conducted when weather (no rain/snow and temps in 40s or better) and commercial rail operations permit. Please note the museum is open for visiting until noon. Please arrive no later than 11:30 to visit and by 1030 on days when the train is operating. Call 301-653-7983 for more information.
