Commemorate the 75th anniversary of the conclusion of WWII.

Visitors to the National Museum of the Marine Corps are invited to explore the role of the Marine Corps during World War II and learn more about the men and women who contributed to the victory over Japan.  While taking a self-guided tour through our World War II gallery, museum subject matter experts will be stationed at key points to highlight unique Marine Corps stories.

Visitors to the museum may have heard of the Iwo Jima flag raisers, or USMC Medal of Honor recipients John Basilone or Pappy Boyington; however, nearly 600,000 men and women served in the USMC in World War II. Spend some time learning the stories of these lesser-known Marine Corps heroes.
