The Caroline Sheriff’s Office is looking for three men accused in a series of thefts from vehicles in a county subdivision.
Patrick M. Small, 38; Jerome P. Abel, 29; and Khalil M. Lane, 23; are charged in Caroline with offenses that include grand larceny, credit card fraud, identity theft and conspiracy. The last three known addresses for all three suspects were in Spotsylvania County.
According to Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa, someone entered at least 10 unlocked vehicles early Tuesday in Bridlewood subdivision and stole various items. The Sheriff’s Office later released surveillance pictures of potential suspects and a picture of the white Nissan Pathfinder they were believed to be traveling in.
Lippa said he began receiving tips about the men’s identities within an hour and investigators soon obtained warrants.
All three men have a history of theft-related arrests and convictions, and at least one of them was already a fugitive from justice. Court records show that Small has been wanted in Stafford County since March, when he failed to show up for a hearing in Stafford General District Court on theft-related charges.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 804/633-5400 or Investigator A.M. Garthaffner at 804/633-3497, ext. 1151.
