The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about an incident early Monday in which someone fired multiple shots into occupied apartments.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo said the shooting took place at 2:51 a.m. at an apartment building on Ebenezer Church Road in North Stafford. No one was injured, but several windows at the complex off Onville Road were shattered by gunfire.

The person who reported the shooting told deputies that four adults and four juveniles were in one apartment when they heard the sounds of gunshots and multiple rounds entered the home. Vicinanzo said deputies found damage in another apartment as well, and shotgun shells were found directly in front of the apartment building.

Deputies surrounded the area and a drone team and a police dog were brought in to search the area, but no suspect was found. It was not clear Monday why the shots were fired or if the residences hit were chosen at random.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 540/658-4400.
