Keep an eye out for work in the following areas along Interstate 95 the rest of the week.
A single-lane closure is scheduled overnight through Friday near the State Route 3 exit in Fredericksburg and the Centreport Parkway exit in Stafford County, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The work is related to the Rappahannock River crossing projects. The lane closures are scheduled to be in place from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
A single-lane closure is slated for overnight through Thursday near the U.S. 17 interchange in Stafford. Expect heavy truck traffic in the area, too. The lane closure is set to run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work is related to the southbound crossing project and the express lane extension.
A mobile operation will be doing work-related to the express lanes extension from the Quantico exit in Prince William County to U.S. 17 in Stafford through Wednesday. Expect single-lane closures from 9:30 p.m. to 10 a.m.
Another mobile operation is scheduled to be in operation through Thursday, with alternating single-lane closures slated to be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. from the Quantico exit to the U.S. 17 interchange. The work will involve slow-moving work vehicles. Crews will be replacing reflective lens markings in the pavement.
A single-lane closure is scheduled in the area of Centreport Parkway in Stafford and at the Route 3 exit in Fredericksburg through Saturday as part of the southbound crossing project. Lane closures are slated to be in place from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. through Thursday morning; 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday; and 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.
