Work on a delayed Stafford County pipe repair project is scheduled to start on Tuesday, closing Parkway Boulevard for four days.

Work originally was planned to start earlier this month on Parkway Boulevard, but it was delayed by Hurricane Florence forecasts.

The road is set to be closed to all traffic at Wellington Court on Tuesday and remain closed until Friday.

Crews will replace a deteriorated corrugated metal pipe under the road and replace it with a plastic pipe.

This will be the second such pipe replacement on Parkway, the other being near Kimberly Drive.

Signs will be set up in the area to direct traffic to detours.
