Bradley F. Burgess, 80, of Midlothian, VA, formerly of Fredericksburg, Urbanna and Key Largo, FL passed away on March 6, 2019 from complications of a fall suffered at home three years ago. He was predeceased by his parents, Fleet and Elva Heflin Burgess of Berea and his daughter, Stephanie Burgess Sniegowski. He is survived by his wife, Alice; son Michael (Jennifer) of Irwin, PA, as well as three step-children: Alan Carter, Dewayne Carter (Robyn Noble) and Janet Lee (Steve Fox). His surviving grandchildren are Joshua Burgess, Andrew Burgess, Jonathan Burgess, Kady Lee Austin (Jonathan), Shannon Lee, Kaia Carter, Kaleb Carter, Kavan Nelson and great-granddaughter, Fiona Austin. He is also survived by son-in-law Greg Sniegowski (Dana). Mr. Burgess graduated from Stafford High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. In the 1970's he owned retail stores Pandora's Box and The Crazy House in Fredericksburg. He was retired from Chesapeake Corp. of West Point, VA and had owned a paper broker business. The family will receive friends and hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 11 AM at The Bristlecone Club, 14343 Tanager Wood Trail, Midlothian 23114 followed by a reception.
