Christopher James Ducic, 21, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015.
Chris was a 2012 graduate of Massaponax High School and was most recently a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University majoring in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. He had made the Dean’s list since his freshman year and was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the National Honor Society. He was a Triangle Fraternity brother and had been awarded Department of Energy Nuclear scholarship three times.
He leaves behind parents Paul and Susan Ducic; older brother, Michael; grandparents Jim and Ginger Dearey and Tom and Carol Ducic; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel.
A Mass of Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Remember Chris as he'd want to be remembered – going full throttle, burning the candle at both ends, loving life and living every minute to its fullest. We feel so blessed and honored to have been his parents, but our hearts will ache every day without him. For those family and friends he leaves behind, including his VCU family, we know he loved you all.
