Del. Ransone took strong stand against ERA
No one said it would be easy. It almost never is easy to stand up and do the right thing, but Del. Margaret Ransone did. She said “No” to the ERA amendment and “No” to House Bill 2491 by Del. Kathy Tran, D–Fairfax.
The Equal Rights Amendment has been a 47-year battle that continues to be unpopular, despite all the cries from the left calling it either a woman’s rights/woman’s health bill. It failed because men and women know better.
The ERA is largely about abortion rights and securing Supreme Court dominance. This is the left’s “last gasp” to ratify it as an amendment to our U.S. Constitution.
House Bill 2491 would have allowed abortion through the third trimester up to the moment of delivery. As Del. Tran stated, “My bill would allow that, yes.”
At this point, it can be either a birth or a homicide. I don’t think people would do that to their dog.
Thankfully, my delegate sees the horror of this evil. Thank you, Delegate Ransone, for standing strong.
