David Danek cleared 6 feet, 3.5 inches to finish in 20th place in the high jump competition at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in Boston on Friday night.

Danek could not clear the second round height of 6–5.5 to advance in the competition.


The Eagles won two games Friday to cap their spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., defeating Penn State-Abington 7-1 and Chatham College 12-3.

Eagles pitcher Jenna Calvitti limited Penn State-Abington to five hits in posting the complete game victory, and helped her cause with an early double.

Daylah Sawyer was 4 for 4 with two runs batted in while Hannah Burns and Morgan Mumford each contributed a pair of hits.

Against Chatham, Courtney Shea had four RBIs while Jamie Putrell drove in three runs on two hits.

Putrell also pitched 5 2/3 of relief, surrendering no runs while fanning five.

The Eagles (6-3) next host Messiah for a doubleheader on Tuesday, starting at 3 p.m.


The Eagles home game against visiting Roger Williams University was cancelled due to inclement weather.
